Lena and her sister Dinah are famous Zuni fetish artists. Lena’s style is to use beautiful, traditional fetish forms in many different materials. Lena is an artist who carves her fetishes in the ‘old style’ which tends to be representative of an animal rather than strictly realistic in form. She is well known for using beautiful stone in a traditional way to create strong carvings, particularly her directional sets.
